Red for a Reason ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

This site is operated from Sydney, Australia, and we comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect
We collect information from you in two ways.

Directly, when you contact us.
When you fill in a form on our site or email us at hello@redforareason.com, we collect your name, email address, and any information you choose to share. If you submit a partner enquiry, we may also collect your brand name, role, and website.

Automatically, through our website host.
Our site is hosted by Squarespace, which places cookies on your device to help the site function and to provide basic site analytics. These cookies are managed by Squarespace under their own privacy and cookie policies. We do not run additional tracking, advertising, or third-party analytics tools.

You can manage cookies through the cookie banner shown when you first visit the site, or through your browser settings.

How we use your information.
We use your information only to:

  • Respond to your enquiry or partnership interest

  • Send you information you have requested

  • Maintain records of partnerships and donations to WAGEC

We will not contact you for marketing purposes unless you have explicitly opted in.

Donations.
Donations are processed through JustGiving (justgiving.com/page/redforareason). When you donate via our JustGiving page:

  • JustGiving collects and processes your donation, including your name, email address, postal address, and payment information, under their own privacy policy.

  • JustGiving may share your name, donation amount, and contact details with us and with WAGEC, depending on the consent options you select when donating.

  • If you donate anonymously, we will not receive any personal information about you.

When we receive donor information from JustGiving, we use it only to acknowledge your contribution and to maintain partnership records with WAGEC.
We will not contact you for marketing purposes unless you have opted in via JustGiving.

Sharing your information.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share your information only with:

  • WAGEC, our charity partner, where you have donated or your enquiry relates to the charity partnership

  • Squarespace, our website host, which processes form submissions on our behalf

  • JustGiving, which processes donations on our behalf

  • Anyone else, only with your explicit consent or where required by law

Storage and security.
Your information is stored on secure servers managed by Squarespace, JustGiving, and our email provider. We take reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorised access, but no online transmission or storage method is 100% secure.

Your rights.
You can:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you

  • Ask us to correct or update your information

  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to legal record-keeping requirements

  • Withdraw consent for any future communication

For donations made via JustGiving, you can manage your data and preferences directly with JustGiving at justgiving.com.

International visitors.
If you are visiting from outside Australia, your information will be transferred to and stored in Australia, the UK (where Squarespace and JustGiving operate servers), and the US (where Squarespace is headquartered). By using this site, you consent to these transfers.

Changes to this policy.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at redforareason.com/privacy-policy and dated at the top.
